Alternative Program
For those wanting a alternative option on Saturday during the NZART AGM, AREC AGM and
Sunday during the amateur radio forums an alternative program has been arranged.
The program provides transport to and from the various locations around the inner-city leaving from the Air Force Museum.
Since it will be winter the weekend of the conference we are conscious that the weather could be very inclement. After considering the options we have decided that a focus on the central city.
This programme gives you a taste of the history of the city, not too much walking, staying out of possible bad weather, being together and having fun.
On the Saturday
We will be in the Arts Centre being creative and having lunch.
We will also visit Ravenscar House Museum Gallery and Home
Ravenscar House is an eclectic collection
of paintings, decorative arts, furniture and antiques
from Susan and Jim Wakefield who lost their home in the earthquake. It is amazing.!
On the Sunday
we will be in Riverside market.
We will be based at the Riverside Kitchen being creative under the direction of the chefs.
We will be shopping and preparing dishes which we will consume for our lunch.
There is also a competitive element to this activity.
Do not worry about doing this alone, we will be put into small groups for this activity.
We will be returning to Wigram in time for the Curator Talk - Trench Art and more..
