Alternate Saturday Program
If you have chosen the Alternative Programme, we have planned it to be within walking distance of the venue. The SUDIMA is very near to the centre of our city, all on the flat, so easy walking distance is a feature of the day. Our Local help will guide you to some of these places. Close by is the Saturday Sulphur City Arts N Crafts Market at the Arts Village. Our Lakefront Market, over the weekend, a bird walk around our Sulphur Point which is adjacent to the hotel, the local Specialist shops including McLeod’s Iconic Book Shop, or the local Mall at Rotorua Central. A walk (or a guided walk) in our famous Government Gardens or a wander at Kuirau Park which has a Saturday Morning Market. There are also many food places for your taste buds. Eat Street near the Lakefront, try any of the local cafes or coffee shops scattered throughout the city. We are sure you will have an interesting time. Maybe you would like to try our superb Mountain Bike Trails, around the town or through our forests, including the famous Redwoods, which also hosts a “Tree Top” walk.
Sunday Alternate Program
After the WARO meeting, and lunch at the venue, you can take free time to revisit yesterdays attractions or a small bus will be available to “tour” nearby points of interest. Please show your interest when filling out the Registration form.
Sunday Dinner – Baycrest Room
Once again we need to close at 1630 hrs to allow for dinner preparations. Plenty of time for a quick soak in one of the local pools or some recovery time before a Buffet Dinner starting at 1830 hrs. Suggested close time is 2200 hrs. Raffle draws, various Awards and presentations are planned during the Dinner.
