The Rotorua Branch (33) of NZART Invites NZART Members and their partners to join us for a weekend in Rotorua.

Come and visit New Zealand Coolest Hotspot.

The venue for this years conference is the Sudima Hotel located in Rotorua City/Geothermal Paradise.

There is generous parking available at the venue during the day, and night, for cars and moderate sized vehicles. Motorhomes and similar can park during the day but will need other facilities at night. An NZMCA park is located at Ngongotaha and other overnight parking is available in various spots reasonably close to Rotorua City.

All conference proceedings will be accommodated at the Sudima Hotel and reasonable room rates are available for those wishing to stay at the Hotel. Please quote “NZART Conference” if booking with the special rates.

General Registration
Registration details will be advised in due course, but the cost and procedures will be in line with recent conferences.

Accommodation
The Conference venue has deals that will be worth you checking out.  Accommodation booking is your responsibility.  We recommend arranging your accommodation early, as Rotorua is a popular long weekend retreat for many people.
The whole Conference will be held at the SUDIMA Hotel  and those attending as guests of the hotel will be able to utilise the heated swimming pool and the 3 spa pools.
Self contained Motorhomes and Caravans (overnight parking) have various options close by, or the NZMCA have a park at Ngongotaha and limited local transport by local Amateurs will be available to and from the Conference.

Raffles  – Delta Room
We will have some extremely good prizes for the raffles at this Conference so do have some money in your pockets or purses. We depend on selling tickets to keep the Conference cost at a reasonable level.
 Amateur radio type  raffles will be run and some may be “Quick Fire” and drawn when full.
A group of ladies have been busy with other raffle prizes so you should find something to tickle your interest as well as the traditional WARO raffle.

Thermal Pools
The well known Polynesian Pools are very close to the Conference venue and a range of public and private pools are available. Bring your appropriate costumes. The Sudima Hotel has a heated swimming pool and two private pools available for guests.

Communication
We look forward to seeing a good turnout in June 2017 and we will update this general information as and when details are firmed up. We anticipated that this publication format will be maintained and regularly updated along with appropriate information in Break In.
Rotorua has two 2m repeaters 144.350 (Linear) and 147.350. The National link is expected to be operating again before the end of 2016 along with a new D-Star hotspot.

General Registration
For registration please either complete and post or email it. Payment can be by either Electronic Transfer or by mailing a cheque. We have no Credit Card facilities. If paying by Electronic direct banking please ensure you note your callsign and Family name in the reference area.

NOTE. Each person must have an individual Registration form. Late payment is required for payments received after May 15th 2017. Please register early.

SPECIAL NOTE:  This is Rotorua’s largest hotel and is a private facility.  There will be other guests staying during the Conference and owners require everyone involved at the Conference to wear ID or swingers name tag at all times while attending including dinners.  Attendees to AGM only, must wear the supplied name tag.
